Artist Statement:
Art is my diary as I move in this plain of existence. For me art stems from the influence of life, the mystery, the illusion, and the ability to think out of the box. It has been a long trail of adventure that has me at this point in time. My art is what drives me forward. It gives me hope. It is my way of expressing my own inadequacies. When you view my art you are looking at me, within me. Like the changing wind I follow where the art leads.
If someone needs my art for something, like say a corporate interest, I can still modify it so I feel it still has it's integrity but it also fits the needs of the person who wants to work with me.
I do experimental projects where there is really no direction. It really just all comes from within and it's more of an exploration. I think they are both equally important for different reasons.
To me being an artist and able to manage my own creative output was always a priority. You really have to learn how to make it vital, a part of every aspect of your life and create an importance about it. You have to be disciplined. It has to be something that you practice everyday to become fluid.
Interesting people like and collect my work. It doesn't follow one demographic, it has been from the very young to the older veterans. I consider that an asset, it allows me to experience a lot of different facets of life and I really end up growing as a person.
